Scouting Cycloongroup Borculo has been founded in 1945 and has a long history of Scouting and Guiding in Borculo. We have about 150 youth members, 30 troop leaders and 7 different age levels.

Our structure in Scouting is different then in most foreign countries, we have a group and in this group we have different age-levels (units/troops) From our national Scouting HQ till the units the structure is top / down.

• National Scouting HQ (Leusden);
• Districts (we are member of Oude Graafland);
• Group (we are called Scouting Cycloongroep Borculo);
• Units/troops (age levels)

Together with children of your own age you play the game of Scouting. Scouting Netherlands has created several age levels in these age-level units children play the game of Scouting with friends of there own age. Most units are single sex but we also have mixed units these have been created to give groups a change to let boys and girls of the same age play together, because groups do not have enough members to build single sex units or because of a lack of leaders to form single sex units. Scouting Cycloongroup Borculo has the following age levels.

• Beaver Scouts (bevers), boys and girls between the age of 5 and 7 years old;
• Cub Scouts (Welpen), boys between the age of 7 and 11 years old;
• Brownies (Kabouters), girls between the age of 7 and 11 years old;
• Boy-Scouts (Verkenners), boys between the age of 11 and 14 years old;
• Girl-Guides (Padvindsters), girls between the age of 11 and 14 years old;
• Ventures (Explorers), boys and girls between the age of 14 and 17 years old;
• Rangers (Pivo's), boys and girls between the age of 17 and 23 years old.

Our Scouting group is located in Borculo which is a town in the eastern part of the Netherlands in the province (district) Gelderland. If you want to look us up on a map try searching for a bigger city first like Enschede and go down a little on your map.
